Cast Bronze Plaques

The Traditional Process.
Real Dimensional Depth.

Cast bronze is the process most people picture when they think of a bronze plaque. Molten metal is poured into a mold, producing raised lettering and relief work with genuine dimensional depth — not a flat surface, but a plaque you can feel the shape of. It’s the standard for building dedications, memorials, and any installation meant to last generations and communicate real permanence.

Cast Bronze Law Sign — Joseph J. Archuleta and Associates, P.C.

When Joseph Archuleta opened his practice in Denver in 1992, he wanted his entrance to say “this firm is going to be here for a while.” He chose genuine cast bronze. Over 30 years later, it’s still making that same first impression.

Although this is a fairly straightforward law firm identification plaque, the use of different letter sizes throughout the inscription varies the emphasis on each element. Interchangeable nameplates were used to allow future changes to individual names.

A more reserved, vertical approach for a firm whose entrance sees close foot traffic — proof that a smaller, well-proportioned plaque can make just as strong an impression as a larger one.

Arched text can work really well in certain situations, and this is definitely one of them. I also liked using a vertical orientation, because the whole inscription flowed so naturally in this format.

Cast Bronze Veterans Memorial — Ponce Inlet, Florida

Cast Bronze Veterans Memorial — Ponce Inlet, Florida

A resident noticed his community had no local veterans’ memorial — so he organized one himself. With support from local veterans’ groups, this memorial was built at the Kay & Ayres Davies Lighthouse Park, next to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station.
