Before Mitchell took ownership of Innovative Signs, he spent nearly a decade serving as an officer in the United States Air Force — working in military intelligence and space operations at some of the highest levels the service has to offer. He earned the Air Force Commendation Medal and built a leadership philosophy centered on one conviction: great outcomes come from genuinely valuing the people around you.

That conviction was shaped, in part, by hardships Mitchell faced during his service, experiences that gave him a hard-won sense of how precious and short life really is. When the opportunity came to lead a family business built entirely around helping people mark life’s most meaningful moments, it felt less like a career decision and more like the right next chapter.

Mitchell brings military precision, a deep respect for people, and a personal understanding of what it means to honor a life or mark a milestone. As a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Innovative Signs is registered in SAM.gov and eligible for federal set-aside contracts. Mitchell handles government procurement relationships personally and welcomes inquiries from agencies and prime contractors.
